Autobooks Careers

Your next great career move starts here.

Core Values

How We Work

We hustle, because it’s what we do.

Our focus may be technology, but we were founded on a Midwestern work ethic. That means we show up every morning (even if we are remote), we work hard, and we have something to show for it at the end of each day. This value calls on us to never downplay effort in the service of meaningful outcomes, because nothing worthwhile has ever come easy.

How We Help

The customer’s struggle is our struggle.

We will never stand behind a solution in need of a problem. Instead, this value compels us to understand why our customers struggle to make progress — and then do something about it. From the outset, we set our sights on small businesses, and their many impediments to progress. Our products are deeply rooted in that research and continue to address a glaring need in the market.

How We Do More

We believe in small business owners

Their entrepreneurial spirit and sheer grit have set a high bar for us, and push us to do more with the resources we are given. This value calls on us to “own” our role and our work — indeed to take pride in it — and to always take into consideration the health and long-term success of Autobooks in all of our decisions, big or small. We should never forget that our small business customers are counting on us. #SmallBusinessObsessed

How We Interact

We allow pushback to be part of the process.

It’s simple: deeper discussions often lead to better business decisions. This value invites us to collaborate as equals, challenge respectfully, and never fear retaliation, as long as we do it with a desire of wanting to improve the outcome. After all, we know that not all ideas are good ideas — even if they come from the top. Once a decision is reached, we should stand behind it.

How We Grow

We’re in the driver’s seat.

We have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to build Autobooks into a special company: one dedicated to our team, to serving our customers, and to a brighter future for Detroit. This value reminds us that we have accomplished much together (and had fun along the way) — but that there is so much more left to achieve, especially as we continue to set our collective sights on the bigger goals.
